sequence and series story board examples

Response to point, shoot, retouch and lable.

In my opinion such a law would reveal the fakery involved in most advertising images to the public, therefore destroying not all photographic art but photographs of most models used in magazines. Most of these photographs are created or taken to make the viewer want to be like or have the same things as the subject. If there was a label on every retouched photo the public would be aware that the person in the photo was digitally altered. On the other hand many photographs are harmlessly retouched, just for emotional effect. I think what would make this law even better would be to state that you must label when you retouch a humans body, not the background or any surrounding objects.

I think that the retoucher, photographer, and the magazine editor are all the author of the photo. . The model is just a character in the picture. They both should be given credit for the art they created.

photoshop disasters

Question One: The three types edits that we have learned are Exposure (Levels, Curves.), Color (Color balance, Photo filter.), and vignetting. Levels and curves are used first to change how dark or light you image is. Your image should not be to dark or to light or to over and under exposed. Color balance and photo filter are used next to balance out the colors in the picture. If you used the wrong white balance and you picture is to blue, you can add orange to even the color out. Last we use vignetting to give the picture an old, vintage feel.

Question Two:
The Quick Keys.
Move tool: V
Brush tool: B
Text tool: T
Mask tool: Q

Question Three: Shortcuts.

Select-all: control +A
Inverse-selection: Shift cntrl I
Deselect-selection: cntrl + D

Question Four:
1. First make sure you color pallet is black over white. Then
select the the brush,Set your hardness to 0% and your flow/opacity to 100%.
2. Create the diameter of your brush tool. Make sure this almost fills up your whole image.
3. Click on the mask tool.
4. Move your brush tool side to side creating a red potatoe shape almost coveringyour whole image.
5. Click the mask icon again so that it is off. The baked potatoe will not be red any more, it will be an outline.
6. Find curves and move the center of the line down, forming a lower curve which then darkens the edges of the picture

Question Five: You start with one layer, and it is called backround

Question Six: You press what looks like a cookie to add one more layer
and to erase one you click and drag it to the trash

Question Seven:you click the eye next to the layer so that it becomes invisible.

photographs that tell a story

1)The first thing I noticed in this photograph was the water that had flooded the house.
2) I believe that this women is dead, but if she were alive she was severely depressed.

3)Judging by the light present in this photograph the time of day would be approximately four or five in the afternoon.

4)The sun shining threw the windows and lamps which reflected off the water.

5) I would describe the room as gloomy and dark. The atmosphere is depressing and though there is light shown in the windows the room is still dark. It looks like it was lively at one point.

6) The objects on the staircase are her shoes or slippers.

7) No, she is not wearing shoes.

8)Ophelia is a fictional character in the play Hamlet by William Shakespeare. She is a young noblewoman of Denmark, the daughter of Polonius, sister of Laertes, and sweetheart of Prince Hamlet.A possible historical source for Ophelia was Katherine Hamnet, a woman who fell into the Avon River and died in December 1579. Though it was eventually concluded that she had overbalanced while carrying some heavy pails, rumours that she was suffering from a broken heart were considered plausible enough for an inquest to be conducted into whether her death was a suicide.

short story
"I am so excited for our wedding!" cried Ophelia as she squeezed her lover in her arms. His name was John and she was madly in love with him. "I can not wait either darling" said he, with a wide meaningful smile. They were to be wed in a matter of weeks, and had many tasks to accomplish before the big day. Ophelia and John were a middle class, hardworking couple. Ophelia a writer and John a near by shoe maker and salesman. He left for work a few moments after their lovely discussion about their future. Ophilla was very much excited. So much so that as soon as she herd the door closed she ran to the closet to try on her wedding dress. When she was done she went downstairs to start a bath. Just as she was turning on the hot water, she herd the phone ringing. She jetted up the stairs in hope that it was her beloved finance. But to her dismay it was an unfamiliar vioce. She asked who was calling and the anymous caller revealed himself to be a police man, and that her lover had been killed in a freak shoe accident. She dropped the phone in shock. She fell to the ground and there she started to weep. She stayed on that floor for the rest of the day, it wasn't until the next morning that the widow decided to get the strength to push herself off the tear soaked carpet. she walks down the stairs slowly, only to find her whole house flooded from the bath water. She takes off her shoes and walks into the water

1)I am Outside and it is a sunny, bright day. I want to take a picture of a beautiful flower that is growing in my back yard. Before I do so I must adjust my camera for such a photo. First i turn on my camera using the power switch. Then turn my mode dial to manual. After that use the main command dial to change my shutter speed to 20, because there is no movement and I already have all the light that i need. I change my aperture to 5.6, so everything is in focus. Then my sub command dial to change to the lowest possible ISO (e.g 200), because I do not want it to have noise. Then while holding down the white balance button and moving the sub command dial, I then change the white balance to the picture of the sun which means sunny.

2)I am outside again, but this time the sun is setting. I want to take a picture of the landscape by my house. There is beautiful rolling hills and greenery.

“American dream or art world scheme?”

“American dream or art world scheme?” I believe the film does not answer this question for us, because there is no real evidence provided to show that she was either painting the pictures, or not. My own personal view is that it is a scheme, but some people refuse to think so. The director made this documentary to keep the audience wondering. He himself did not want to know the actual truth. It would be a tragedy if this little girl was forced to impress the media when she was only a small child. Her family seemed heartbroken over the segment of 60 minutes that had ruined their reputation therefore the director was trying to get their side of the story, and not be judgmental. This documentary does not answer the question "American dream or art world scheme?" It keeps you guessing what the true verdict is.

In the driving scene narrated by the directer he beggings with saying "This documentary has become something different", and indeed it had. This documentary was not only created to show how amazingly talented this young girl was, but to prove to society that it was real, and Marla was creating these beautiful abstract paintings herself. This documentary became personal after the Olmesteds put all of their trust in this reporter to belive them. After a horrible expeirience on sixty minutes the Olmsteds were thretend ,harrased, accused, and judged by people in their own nieghborhood, reporters, and anynomus people over the internet. I believe he decided to place himself in this video to voice his opinon about the sitiuation. He belived in the family, but yet had his doubts. He was courios as to what really went on behind closed doors.

The director says "I would rather be stupid and not know about this kind of stuff". By saying this he means he hopes that they are telling the truth and it would be horrible if they weren't, and if they were he would rather not know. They are such a kind family , and have been threw so much. He gets attached to the family and Marla personaly He also states that if they are liars they are really good ones.
